Database User Management
With the steps below edit who can access your Database
All operations below are accessed from MySQL® Databases on the BYU Domains dashboard.
Create User
- Scroll down to find the heading Add New User
- Enter a Username
- Enter a Password
- Click Create User
Delete User
- Find the heading Current Users
- Find the user you want to delete
- Click Delete
Edit User
- Find the heading Current Users
- Find the user you want to edit
- Click Rename
- Enter a new name and click Proceed
Change User Password
- Find the heading Current Users
- Find the user you want to change the password for
- Click Change Password
- Enter a new password and click Change Password
Associate User to Database
- Find the heading Add User to Database
- Select a user
- Select a database
- Click Add
- Choose the user’s privileges
- Click Make Changes
Disassociate User from Database
- Find the heading Current Databases
- Locate the database you would like to remove users from
- Click the trashcan icon next to the user you want to remove (not the Delete trashcan on the far right)
